When the doors are opened in the morning children come straight into classrooms where teachers are waiting to welcome them and take the register. Lessons begin promptly at 8.50am (KS1) & 8.55am (KS2) and it is important that lessons are not disrupted by late arrivals as children who are late miss important introductions to lessons.
Collective worship is held daily where we reflect on our school values and encourage children to develop knowledge and understanding of the world around us. We hold weekly reward assemblies where we recognise and thank children for demonstrating one or more of our school values. Parents are invited to attend class assemblies and different productions throughout the school year.
At lunchtime children benefit from a variety of dishes that are freshly cooked on the premises. We also offer a salad bar and fresh fruit (as an alternative to puddings). Children who choose to bring a packed lunch can enjoy their meal in the dining room with the other children.
