Year 6 Girls Transition Festival
St Giles took were happy to be invited to the Wakefield School Sports Network transition festival at the A1 Football Factory. Our girls played several matches against teams from within the Wakefield area. They represented school brilliantly- coming third on the day. Most importantly, they learned how to meet new people and step outside their comfort zone. We're on our way to being high school ready.
The 5 Towns X Country
St Giles took part in the 5 Towns X Country. It was an excellent afternoon with some very close races. We were lucky enough to have several medalists. For more information about local running clubs please see the contacts below.
Wakefield Dynamos Cricket Competition
St Giles took part in the Wakefield Schools Cricket Competition at De Lacy Academy. The competition included 9 teams with St Giles playing brilliantly all day. They personified the school values (as well as wearing them on their backs with their brand new kit).

Placing 2nd in our group and narrowly missing out on a place in the Finals in Hunslet.
Well done to all the schools involved. I hope this is the start of uninterrupted school sports after the Pandemic. Very proud of your efforts.
